I’ve been wanting to host a giveaway for awhile, but wasn’t sure which book I would give away. There’s always the question of “What if no one else is interested in this book?” or “What if the person who wins hates the books?” So I decided that I would give away gift cards. That way, the winner has a chance to pick out a book they want.

I am giving away three gift cards for Barnes and Noble. The grand prize is a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble, and there are two runner-up gift cards, each worth $10.

1. The contest is only open to residents of the United States (unfair, I know. But I’m toying with the idea of another giveaway that will be international in a month or so).
2. You must leave a comment on this entry telling me about a great book you’ve read in 2008. It doesn’t have to be a book that was released in 2008, just a book that you read for the first time this year. Comments that only say “please enter me” will not be counted.
3. You must leave a link to your own blog. The easiest way to do that is through Open ID, though a link in the entry will suffice as well. If you do not have a blog, please be sure to leave your email address so I may contact you.

The giveaway is open until Friday, September 5, 2008 at 11:59 pm PDT. I will be selecting the winners using Research Randomizer on Saturday, September 6.

Best of luck!
