Happy Sunday, Saloners! I can’t believe it’s been an entire week since I posted anything here. I don’t think I’ve gone that long without posting since I started moving here in the beginning of December. But I’m back now.

I’ve actually kind of taken a break from everything this week. I didn’t blog, I didn’t read many blogs, and I haven’t really been doing much reading, either. Up until yesterday, I think I read maybe 20 pages all week. Stress has been bad for me this week, and up until Friday, I didn’t know whether or not I was going to get to keep my job (I got an answer Friday: probably not. I am simultaneously relieved that I have an answer, and stressed anew because now I might have to try to find a job in an economy where no one is hiring. But I won’t know for sure whether or not I’m going to lose my job for a few more weeks). And stress coupled with not sleeping makes the body susceptible to illness- hello sickness. Woke up Friday morning not feeling well, and by the time I got home Friday afternoon, I had progressed to chills and body aches. I felt better yesterday, but because I went out with friends twice yesterday, I’m not feeling great today.

Anyway, I’m sure none of you wanted or needed to know that, but I figure I can get away with sharing personal information once in awhile.

I did get some reading done yesterday, and I finished my third book of the year, Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy by Ally Carter. It’s a YA book, the second in her Gallagher girls series, and I really enjoyed it. It was a light-hearted and fun way to chip away at the funk I’ve been in for the last few weeks. I should have my review up tomorrow. It’s nearly done, but I don’t want to post it now, then have no blog content for the rest of the week.

As far as reading today goes, I am continuing on with The Rose of York: Love and War by Sandra Worth. It really is an interesting story, and Worth is the kind of author that makes me want to run out and read more history books (always a good thing in my eyes when it comes to historical fiction). Hopefully I’ll be able to finish that sometime in the next few days so I can get my review up for that as well.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
