Happy Sunday, blogosphere! I’m having kind of a hard time with the fact that there are only a couple of Sundays left between now and the end of the year- and only one Sunday after today between now and Christmas. I have done literally none of my Christmas shopping, since I currently lack the green stuff that allows me to leave stores with products and without setting off those theft detectors. And since I don’t exactly want to get busted for shoplifting, I am currently curled up on the couch with my laptop and iPod, trying to put together some new playlists for my bored ears.

(Incidentally, if anyone has music recs, I am *always* looking for new musicians to listen to. Favorite bands include Muse, Silversun Pickups, and Metric, but I will listen to just about anything that’s not smooth jazz or country.)

It’s been a pretty good few weeks here in Reading and Ruminations-land, in spite of the fact that I have had precious little time for reading, what with the whole working too much thing and the family drama thing and the life-is-interfering thing. I finished Twilight of Avalon by Anna Elliott and posted my review on Friday. I’m currently reading the sequel, Dark Moon of Avalon, and rather enjoying it. I’ve also been listening to the audiobook of The Partly Cloudy Patriot by Sarah Vowell, and I am loving it. Her voice does take a bit of getting used to, but I can’t imagine anyone else reading it. It’s funny, audio books can be hit or miss for me, but I am really loving this one.

In other news, I got my gift from my Holiday Swap person from the Book Blogger Holiday Swap. I was super excited to open the package and receive Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler. I am not sure who my mystery swapper was, so thank you so much!!

Next week, I am planning to post my 2010 retrospective, which will not be nearly as fun or informative as those of other bloggers, but should sum up my year rather well.

Have a great week!
