Hey everyone! After a month and a half of hiatus, I’m back. And my hiatus had its intended effect: I missed blogging, and I missed interacting with people about books. It also had the unintended effect of making me miss Armchair BEA, and I am disappointed about that. However, it just gives me something to look forward to for next year.

I’d like to be able to say I got a lot of reading done while I was on hiatus, but the reality is, I didn’t. The hiatus ended up coinciding with the Infestation of 2011 (bird mites- yuck!), as well as sweeps month on TV, so it just didn’t quite work out. However, there is now nothing that I watch on TV, the Infestation has been treated, and I’ve made all the appropriate lifestyle changes to give myself more reading time.

I’ve also spent a bit of time thinking about how and why I blog and how I want to move forward with the blog. I’ve never really had a firm plan for blogging in place, and I think that was part of my problem. So one of my goals for the hiatus was to put a plan in place, and I spent a fair amount of time, especially this last weekend, thinking about how I want Reading and Ruminations to be moving forward. So I think it will be a lot easier for me to post regularly, if not frequently, going forward.

At any rate, I am happy to be back and look forward to getting back into the groove.
