It’s hard to believe the Readathon is already halfway over- it seems like it went by SO fast thus far. I’ve spent a fair amount of time doing non-reading things, but I’ve also managed to finish two books. I’m planning to spend most of the next hour reading, and then get caught up on some cheerleading duties as well.

Here my answers to the mid-event survey:

1. What are you reading right now?

I just finished Ms. Marvel: No Normal, and I’m probably going to move on to Man of Honour by Jane Ashford next.
2. How many books have you read so far?

Two: Ms. Marvel and Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?

Hm, that’s tough. I have a lot of books with challenging plots and themes in my stack today, so I don’t know how much I am “looking forward” to any of them. Maybe Seating Arrangements by Maggie Shipstead. That might be next after the Ashford.
4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?

Not too many. Most of my interruptions were planned, and at least they didn’t involve Stella getting a crazy expensive diagnosis today. I’m not planning on having any more interruptions since my roommate is gone for the rest of the weekend.

5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?

Nothing much surprises me about the Readathon these days. I expect 24 hours of awesome bookishness with an ever-expanding community, and so far, I’ve had that. 🙂

And my stats:
