Hello, Hour 3! You sure came along quickly. Seems like I just sat down with my first cup of coffee, and now I’m working my way through the second. Breakfast is in the oven (thirteen more minutes until I find out whether the premade casserole was a brilliant move or if I’m having a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch!), and now the kitties are awake and starting to bother me for kibble and their morning dose of squishy food.
It was a productive first two hours. I’m 2/5 of the way through Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn, which I am loving. Flynn is excellent at painting pictures without using purple prose, and I feel like I’m in this tiny little Missouri town, in spite of never having been to Missouri. However, with that said, I will probably be following this up with a romance, if only to cleanse the brain space a little bit.
The next 3-4 hours will probably be light on reading. I’ll try to make some more progress on Sharp Objects, but I’m also going to eat, do some cheerleading, and then take Stella to the vet to get her foot looked at (she has a skin cancer tumor that we’ve been treating for about a month, and it seems a lot smaller to me so I am expecting good news).
Here are my stats for the first two hours:
